Sangeeta Sabharwal and Rahul Mathur recently joined TRANSEARCH India as Senior Partner and Head of Infrastructure Practice respectively. Sangeeta was until recently the group CEO of the Kochhar Group. The group comprised of one of the largest Law firms in the country, an LPO, a business consulting entity and a JV with Pinkerton, which is one of the largest investigation consulting firms worldwide. Sangeeta incorporated an executive search entity in August 2007 within the Kochhar group and with a small team was able to build revenues to break even and record profits at the end of a seven-month period. Prior to the Kochar Group Sangeeta was the Chief Executive Officer of Ma Foi Global Search Services Ltd. She is a graduate in Economics (Honours) from Lady Shriram College, Delhi University and a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Business Management. She also holds a degree in Education.
For the last six years she has devoted herself to executive searches. She worked as co-service head for Ma Foi Search Business Group for three years, before taking charge of it completely in summer of 2003. During this period, she has relentlessly worked in creating a niche for Ma Foi’s Executive Search Business through process improvements and aligning Ma Foi’s search processes to a globally accepted level.
Though her forte has been Engineering and Consumer/ Retail, she has worked across sectors on various searches. She has conducted many cross border searches for some of the big international majors. She has also advised, consulted and conducted many ‘strategy sessions’ for organisations in field of corporate and business strategies and goals. Sangeeta is based out of New Delhi and has interest in literature, reading and music.
Prior to joining TRANSEARCH, Rahul was working with Korn/Ferry International’s New Delhi office and supported the firms’ Industrial markets. He has managed a number of assignments for Automotive Manufacturing, Power & Energy and Capital Equipments sector. In his earlier role, Rahul was Principal Consultant with Ma Foi Global Search Services in Delhi and headed their search practice for Energy, Infrastructure and Real Estate for the country. He also helped set up the Singapore subsidiary of Ma Foi and incepted the recruitment and Search practice for Oil & Gas and Industrial sectors for the APAC region. The stint in Singapore gave him an excellent exposure to cross cultural sensitivities and international practices.
In his earlier roles, Rahul delivered on consulting, staffing and corporate services roles, along with the opportunity to work with different market segments and sectors. It has given him excellent perspective to consult clients in the process of setting up nascent operations in new geographies or expanding operations in India. He has a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing from IMS.
